Mimbre Youth Programme runs weekly acrobatics and dance classes, building confidence, creating friendships and improving well-being among young people in Hackney. We teach nearly 50 young people every week and centre inclusion, diversity and representation to make sure that every child who wants to take part has a chance to join in. 

After 15 years of working with young people in Hackney, Mimbre’s youth programme is now at risk of shutting down due to a lack of consistent funding. We need your help, whatever you can spare, to support the programme and to help us to continue to offer subsidised places and additional support to those who need it.

“Mimbre truly is a class sited in the local community here in Hackney. There is a tiered system of class prices, meaning that no-one is excluded based on lack of income. There are also none of the requirements of other classes to buy uniforms/ special shoes, and this contributes to making the class more accessible.” – Parent Mimbre Youth

Our ethos is to support all young people to be physical, enjoy using their bodies and make friends out of school. We believe in encouraging everyone to achieve more than they thought they could, and we love to see the pride and exhilaration when young people learn a new move!

Your contribution will help to subsidise concessions and bursary places for those who need it, promote inclusivity, celebrate diversity and keep the doors open for every child who wants to take part.

£95 – a subsidised place for a full term 

£150 – a bursary place for a term

£450 – a bursary place for a year

£1,500 – 10 bursary places for a term 

£4,500 – 10 bursary places for a year
