When we realised that the Mimbre van couldn’t go on tour this year we decided to put it to use locally and Mimbre’s AD Lina Johansson set up a network with her local mutual aid group to collect donations for The Hackney Foodbank .Between April and December we have transported 3113.5 kg of food, approximately 7415 meals. Massive thank you to everyone involved donating, collecting and lifting and also a huge thank you to the people at Hackney foodbank for their tireless work.We’ve also helped The Feel Good Community to deliver food packages across Hackney, for vulnerable people shielding.If you’re able to donate anything then both of above organisations do amazing work and will need all the support they can get come the new year.
