Performer call-out for 2022 creation and tour

Performer call-out for 2022 creation and tour

We are seeking two physical/dance/circus performers for our upcoming 2022 creation and tour of Look Mum, No Hands!, a co-production between Daryl Beeton Productions and Mimbre. We are seeking

1, A physical performer who is a wheelchair user and identifies as Disabled
2, A partner-acrobat with strong movement skills (non-disabled or Disabled).

We are looking for playful, inquisitive and creative performers with a young playing-age, who have experience of working on professional productions, such as dance, physical theatre, circus, gymnastic or paracheering projects in the past and is interested in exploring and learning new inclusive acrobatics skills to create new physical, creative choreographies.

ABOUT THE SHOW

Look Mum, No Hands! is a new outdoor production which will tour libraries and outdoor festivals and events across England from April 2022.

Look Mum, No Hands! is a tender story of friendship, taking risks and developing your independence, for family audiences.

It explores a visually beautiful, and physically surprising, coming-of-age story about two friends testing their own boundaries. Together they explore freedom, taking risks and independence and how they change depending on if you’re Disabled, or not.

Look Mum, No Hands! Is a new piece of physical theatre that combines an original score, with new approaches to choreography. A high quality indoor or outdoor show with two performers. It playfully uses movement and physicality to gently push the boundaries of what is possible and what our expectations are.

Look Mum, No Hands! is a collaboration between Daryl Beeton Productions and Mimbre, supported by The Spark Arts for Children. In 2021 the R&D for Look Mum, No Hands is supported by Blueprint: Without Walls Consortium‘s R&D Investment Fund.
