Rusalka at the Edinburgh International Festival

Rusalka at the Edinburgh International Festival

We’re super excited that Rusalka by Garsington Opera, with circus choreographies by our Joint Artistic Director Lina Johansson, is going up to the 75th Edinburgh International Festival to be performed at the beautiful Festival Theatre! The production features 6 brilliant aerialists and acrobats and several world class opera singers flying through the air, in this Slavic fairy-tale that inspired Hans Christsian Andersen to write The Little Mermaid. More sinister than consequent Disney versions, this performance contains plenty of love, death and drama and what it feels like to be an outsider looking in on a world that feels incomprehensible to you.
