“Mimbre truly is a class sited in the local community here in Hackney. There is a tiered system of class prices, meaning that no-one is excluded based on lack of income. There are also none of the requirements of other classes to buy uniforms/ special shoes, and this contributes to making the class more accessible.” – Parent Mimbre Youth

“I’ve observed that in Mimbre sessions there is a strong ethos of positive encouragement, nurturing, and acceptance of all kids. There is no pressure, no atmosphere of competition, zero emphasis on appearance, no gender specific expectations, and no hierarchy of ability. All of which brings out the very best in the children and young people attending the sessions.” Parent Mimbre Youth

“What I love about Mimbre is you can learn new things and you can be teached to not give up. You learn more acrobatics, like cartwheel or a bridge, you can learn it here!” Mimbre Youth Participant
