14 Nov Acrobatics Masterclass – January 2013
As followers of our work might know, mimbre offer masterclasses in acrobatics, acrobalance and healthy physicality as part of our participation programme.
Our next 2-day masterclass will take place in January 2013 at the Roundhouse in London focusing on the discipline of acrobatics and acrobalance. It is aimed at performers who already have some experience in acrobalance and/or sports gymnastics and will focus on the following main points:
- Teaching a range of specialist techniques from mimbre’s repertoire of tricks and styles, focusing on three and four person group pyramids as well as partnerwork.
- Exploring creative and innovative approaches to choreographing acrobatics and acro-balance.
- Providing strategies for how to work and maintain your body optimally for this intense training.
When: Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th January, 10am-5pm
Where: Roundhouse (Studio Theatre), Chalk Farm Road, London, NW1 8EH
Cost: £150 full price / £120 concession or early bird discount / Free for bursary recipients
