An Evaluation: looking back at our 2022 tour of Look Mum, No Hands!

Look back at the 2022 tour of our Daryl & Co co-production Look Mum, No Hands! with us!

We’re sharing our evaluation of last year’s tour of Look Mum, No Hands!. We hope it will be helpful to share this information to be able to have open discussions about what we are doing as an industry and learn from each other. In the document you’ll find:
+ an overview of our creation process,
+ a summary of how we worked to make the show accessible to our audiences and the team, including touring with accessible seating and creating a retainer system for understudies and roleshares. Our collaborator wrote a fantastic blog Without Walls TALKS: Access vs The Environment by Daryl Beeton with more detail on our approach to access which has more information and we encourage you to read it if you want to find out more,
+ details of where we toured, we had 52 performances across the country, reaching nearly 9,000 audiences,
+ visuals from the production,
+ and some wonderful comments from our audiences.

We couldn’t have done these without the support from the funders of the project!

Look Mum, No Hands! is commissioned by FESTIVAL.ORG and Hat Fair. It is supported by Without Walls, The Spark Arts for Children, Foyle Foundation, The Golsonocott Foundation, Leche Trust, Arts Council England and Blueprint: Without Walls R&D Investment Fund #Blueprint2021.
With special thanks to 101 Outdoor Arts: National Centre for Arts in Public Space and Graeae Theatre.
