It’s my first week as General Manager (Maternity Cover) at Mimbre and I’m delighted to join this inventive, inspiring, friendly company at an exciting stage of their development. With a busy Summer of touring underway, and plans for Autumn taking shape, it feels like a good time to join.
Latest tour stop: Sotteville-les-Rouen, France
Over the past weekend we presented "Falling Up" at "Viva Cite" in Sotteville-les-Rouen - where we had a great time despite all the rain! Viva Cite is one of the oldest street theatre festivals in Europe and attracts every year big audiences, so we are very proud to have been among the performing groups this year!
We will be running our own Big Dance event as part of the Big Dance Festival. The idea is for as many people as possible, of all different ages, to join us for a basic but fun choreography which everyone can learn, as well as a chance to try out some acrobatics moves if you are feeling brave.
This summer's tour of our new show "Falling Up" is going very well!!! We are very proud of its success so far and also very happy about all the great feedback from you, our audiences! If you haven't yet left your comments on our online audience...
This weekend sees mimbre's London Premiere of "Falling Up" at Greenwich and Docklands London Festival, in the Monument Gardens (next to Cutty Sark in central Greenwich) both Saturday and Sunday (23rd and 24th) at 2.50 and 5.45 pm.

mimbre's Youth Step-Up Group have created a brand new show: 'Origin London' - an action-packed performance fusing street-dance and acrobatics and celebrating the flavours that makes London our home, all performed by a cast of talented young people from Hackney!
Our Step Up group started their week of workshops yesterday leading up to the first performance of their new show Origin:London on Saturday at Chat's Palace. Following some rehearsal time we had a lovely session with friends, family and members of the community coming together to help create costumes and build set for the show.
